Project Stargate

It is 2025 now, and AI is getting bigger than ever. We have a newly inaugurated president, and hundreds of billions of dollars in the future. There are three big announcements which all link in together to make this exponential increase of AI development possible. In this blog I will be talking about the project Stargate which just released. 

First, the newly inaugurated president, Donald Trump, launched an AI project alongside some of the most influential CEOs of our nation today, Sam Altman of Open AI, Larry Ellison of Oracle, and Masayoshi Son of Softbank. This project named “Stargate” will be a four year project investing five hundred billion dollars into AI research and development. While a few companies and people have criticized this saying the funding is lacking, such as Elon Musk of X.ai, Trump shrugged this off quite easily making it seem confident he has the funds.

But how will this even help our future? Larry Elisson claimed that this research and power will make it so each individual will be able to have a custom vaccine to fit their illness or cancer in less than forty-eight hours. Altman states, “This will be the most important project of the decade.” This is an insane claim and shows the insanity of how our future is shaped. 

When you read this, you may believe the wealth gap will drastically increase, and the poor will suffer more without manual/labor jobs. This is supposedly claimed wrong by all CEO’s saying it will create 100,00 jobs instantly and multiple hundreds of thousands to go. While this relieves a little bit of tension, I believe this is not true and like I stated earlier even if AI is good for the progression of us as a country numerous people all over the world will struggle.

Overall, this is a very expensive and deliberate project supported by our own government, which could make or break the artificial intelligence race against China. Thanks for reading and check out more!
